I want to start LCI with GSLP as lifting component.
I can go to the gym thrice per week. Should I do an extra bodyweight day or cardio day?

It really depends on where you're at capacity wise at the moment. If the three days is kicking your ass, run it like that for a while first. If you're bouncing back well, you could consider adding either or both of the above.

How would that look on a MWF schedule? Something like this?

M - LCI day
T - (optional bodyweight day)
W - LCI day
T - (other optional bodyweight day)
F - LCI day
S - Longer extended effort cardio
S - Rest

And would you just rotate the main lifts every LCI workout?

That would work.

Yes, I would just run an ABCD rotation for the main lifts.

If you were'nt able to do the bodyweight days, would it matter much? (I recognise these are quite big changes to the LCI program now.)

The bodyweight days are an integral part of the LCI program.

There is a tendency to overlook the impact that bodyweight workouts can have overall, this logic is extremely common. Bodyweight work is an excellent layer of training that I believe everyone that is serious about training should include.

That said, there is certainly no law that states that the BW days must be included, I just cannot emphasize how effective BW training can be enough.
