That main lift a day - you don't go balls out? save a couple in the tank ?

I always save a couple in the tank, I aim for 7 - 8 on the last set.

I'm playing around with 2 x 6 right now since I just had a deload.

So you dial back the intensity because you lift everyday?

Common sense at its finest :D

Pretty much, I still back squat 2 times a week and front squat once.

I think people get perplexed once you tell them you only squat a few times a week and don’t always stick to 5 rep sets for it

At the moment I only squat ONCE (gasp!) per week. I did it out of necessity because my shoulder was all jacked up and putting a bar on it KILLED it. Hence the emphasis on Bringing up the Back with the staple lower body movements being Trap Bar, Front Squat (which I've never attempted until now) Rack Pull. As much as I love squatting, it was doing my harm then good so I the focus HAD to be shifted

Everything can't be a priority, sometimes something has to give and you HAVE to find a way to still get better.

Yup I've used the safety squat bar with success - however at the time of the my inury, it still fucking hurt to do it so I stopped lol

I walked out 300 plus today which wouldve KILLED me 2 months ago and no pain. I'll be ready for the online meet to toss some weight around
