What's up Greyskull Board? Long time... Allright, competed in weightlifting for the first time last weekend and got into it so I'm going to start logging again.

Starting point (comp last weekend):
Weight - 105.1 Kg
Snatch - 90 Kg (technically got redlighted for a pressout, but I'm counting it)
C&J - 118 Kg

Today's work:

A) Snatch Balance 2 reps EMOM for 10 (in lbs): 95, 115, 125, 135, 140, 145, 150, 155, 155, 160. A little wobbly at first but started to feel better when I snapped out my arms to hit extension

B) Snatch with 2s pause at the knee, 1 rep EMOM for 12 (in lbs): 140, 145 (f), 145, 150, 150, 155, 155, 155, 160, 160, 165 (f), 175 I feel like I actually did a decent job catching these low--the couple of misses were when I tried to rush through standing up. It's interesting--no video, but if I had it I bet my bar path would look pretty good with a 2s pause at the knees. I wouldn't be surprised if my hips were too high last weekend and that was impacting where I could catch the bar. Could have gone heavier on these...

C) Snatch Pull with 5s negative, 3x3: 205, 215, 225

D) 5s Paused overhead squat: 135, 145

Allright, 20/20 hindsight, I probably should have given myself more time to recover from the snatches on Tuesday morning because every movement felt tough, but I feel like as the weeks go on my body will get used to it.

A) Jerk Grip Walking Lunge - 6 steps each side for 10 minutes: Just messed around with 135 for the full 10 minutes. For some reason I struggle with lunges.
B) EMOM 10 - Jerk with 2s pause in the dip: 185-195-205-215-215-225-225-230-235(f)-235-235-235 Felt pretty good for the most part, but I stopped adding because I felt a little bit of a pressout on some so I cut myself off at 235. I think it may have been that either I was over-emphasizing the drive with pause in dip and not dropping under quick enough, or it was nothing and I was just feeling myself push under more than I usually would.
C) Cleans @ 82% - 4x2 @215: Did'em. As I got into my sets, I started setting up a little more over the bar tan I usually do and that made everything a bit smoother. Will keep playing with this going forward. Maybe I've been out of position when I catch the bar because I was actually too far behind everything so my knees/back were at a weird angle.
D) Front Squat 3RM with 3s pause in the bottom on rep 1: 245, 265, 285 (f--got 1 but dropped rep 2). Probably should have had 285, but I was exhausted.

A) Power Snatch - 1RM
B) C&J - 4-5 attempts at 80%-90%
C)Back Squat - 5 RM

Tried to do today's programming, Power-Snatched to 175, but just didn't have any juice, pretty sure I'm sick with something. Tried to hit some C&J, and was pulling the bar fine but just couldn't get my body to finish the clean at 195 so I packed it in. Too bad, wanted to back squat, but probably would have had a repeat of Wed's miss at 285.

I'm a f'n weirdo--I'm getting tested for strep at noon today since the kids have it and I'm secretly hoping I have it so I have an excuse for missing lifts/slow recovery.

Allright--had to do these at the JCC last night. Genuinely think I would have hit both of my last two PC triples, but some guy set up step aerobics right behind me and started doing step ups in the middle of each set, which was just weird.

A) Tall Clean, 10 Minutes: 45-65-85-95-115-125-135 Felt pretty good, tried to video but ran out of storage in my phone and didn't feel like wasting time deleting
B) Hang Snatch with aa 1s Pause at the knee, EMOM 10: 135-135-135-140-145-150-150-155-155-160 The catch on these didn't feel great warming up so I erred on the lighter side for the first few rounds. Found the Issue was that I was letting my hips get too high coming off the knee, which was getting me forward when I tried to catch the bar. When I stayed a little lower they got pretty smooth.
C) Power Clean 3RM: 175-195-215-230(2)-240(1) As I said, think I had 230 & 240 but too many people were there and I got nervous.
D) Overhead Squat, 3s pause: 135-155-165-185 All right, starting to put weight on the bar here.

Felt good today--felt like I actually put weight on the bar (or forgot to put weight on the bar as the case may be):

A) Jerk Grip Walking Lunges - 6 Stationary Steps (10 Minutes): 45-95-135 mixed with mobility. I hate lunges. I think I have a pulled muscle or something right around my tailbone.
B) Split Jerk with 1s pause in dip - EMOM 10: 185-195-205-215-225-230-235-245-250-260 (f) Should have had 260 but mental fail. I noticed some of my plates had shifted right before I took it out of the rack, but I didn't have enough time left to clip it so I tried it anyway, but I don't think I fully committed to the catch. Lot of words for an excuse haha.
C) Strict Press from Split - 3x5: 145 (thought I was lifting 155 but after the set I realized I forgot to add a ten to one side) - 155 -160 Had room to add weight here, but was short on time so I wanted to just get it done. I tried one at 175 while I was warming up split jerks and it felt a little heavy for 3x5.
D) Front Squat - 3RM with 1s pause on rep 1: 245-270-290. Scared some old ladies on rep 3 @ 290

If the President watched me lift today he probably would have deemed me "low energy".

A) snatch EMOM 10: 145, 155, 155, 165, 165, 175, 175 (f, tired I guess), 175, 185 (f, bad catch/pressout), 175 (cleanest of the day). Everything through 165 felt good and efficient. Shorted my pull on a couple of early reps and caught them a little forward but good otherwise. Shoulders were kinda smoked by the end.

B) PC -> PJ, heavy single: 185, 205, 225 (borderline pressout), 235, 245(f). Was toast by the time I got to 245--didn't even hit the clean.

C) BS 3RM: 275, 305, 335. Didn't have a ton of time or energy left for these. May take another stab at putting up a real 3RM tomorrow at barbell club b if E doesn't have other plans for us.

Ups and downs today. Feel like I wasn't really finishing my pulls--oh well, I'm blaming it on no chalk and a bent bar haha.

A) 2 snatch grip PP, 1 overhead squat: 95-115-135-155

B) snatch, 8 reps on the two minutes: 165-175-185-190-195 (f)-195 (f)-195-195 (f) was catching the heavier ones too far forward. Think I needed to be a little more patient.

C) push jerk, 3RM: 195, 215, 235, 245 (only 2, not sure what happened on number 3)

D)OHS, single with 1s pause: 185, 205, 225 (f, should have had it, but rushed it coming out of the hole)

Weight: 229.5
